Herbal Face Food

What you put on your skin gets absorbed within 26 minutes so you are literally EATING your skin care products! Are you using products you could eat? Or ones with artificial fragrance and chemicals? If you look at the ingredient list and you have no clue how to pronounce it or what it is, don't put it on your skin!!

I'm addicted to this Organic Herbal Face Food product! I've been using it for almost 3 months now and have gotten multiple compliments on how bright and vibrant my skin is and have noticed my acne on my forehead disappear, more even skin tone, and my wrinkles around my eyes fading!! I frequented the tanning bed about 2-3 times a week in college so have plenty of sun damage! I am 30 years old and people always think I am only 22!  It has a very herbal smell and you can feel it going to work on your skin! It is organic, 100% plant based and registers over 10 million ORAC unit (a measure of antioxidant power) making it the most powerful anti-oxidizing product of any kind.

If you would like to try it let me know and I can order some for you!! It's not even on the market yet but I have connections. :-)  712.790.5883

Make Your Own Non-Toxic Toothpaste

7:37 AM Jackie Mart 0 Comments

Most toothpaste contains sugar, fluoride, artificial colors, and other harmful ingredients that are best avoided.  Instead of using the toxic commercial varieties, why not make your own?  It’s easy!!
Tooth Powder Recipe
½ cup baking soda
10 drops pure peppermint essential oil (this is not the same as peppermint extract or fragrance oil.  Also, it should be a high quality food grade essential oil, which is available from many health food stores or you can get from a Young Living or DoTerra Distributor)
5 drops pure myrrh essential oil
Mix all ingredients in a small jar with a lid, cover, and shake well to disperse oils throughout.  Use a small amount on a damp toothbrush the way you would use toothpaste.

The peppermint essential oil helps freshen breath, kill bacteria, and clear sinuses.  The myrrh oil is highly antibacterial and antifungal.  The baking soda restores a natural, slightly alkaline pH balance to the teeth and gums and  whitens teeth.

Snacking Smart

3:57 PM Jackie Mart 0 Comments

Be sure to eat every 3-4 hours so your blood sugar levels remain stable and you are less likely to reach for something sugary or another cup of coffee, or chocolate!

Healthy snacks include:

*Green apples with nut butter
*Gluten-free crackers with avocado
*Larabars
*Protein smoothie-whey, hemp, or pea protein (add some dark leafy greens!)
*Nuts/seeds/trail mix (make sure nuts and seeds are raw, NOT roasted),
*Popcorn (make your own on the stove with organic popcorn, coconut oil, and sea salt)
*Tortilla roll-up-sprouted and gluten-free
*Tortilla chips and guacamole, hummus, salsa, or homemade pesto with veggies,
*Raw carrots, broccoli, cauliflower celery, peppers or veggies with any type of nut butter: peanut, almond, cashew, hazelnut, tahini
*Ants on a log
*Roasted pumpkin seeds

If you are crazy something sweet opt for fruit or a piece of at least 85% organic dark chocolate!
